Preliminary Team Event

The Preliminary Team Event is designed to be a fun match for all competitors, the competition

will consist of teams with (3) three competitors in each team. Each competitor will shoot one

firearm category, (see below). The competitors will each use a different category of firearm,

Center-Fire, .45 caliber and .22 caliber. This Event will be fired on Wednesday, 11 July 2012,

immediately after the Preliminary Match. Registration for this Match will close at 4 p.m.

Tuesday, 10 July 2012. Out of competition teams are welcome. For guidelines on out of

competition teams, (see below).

Preliminary Team Event Fees – $30.00 (3) three member team

Center Fire as described in NRA Pistol Rule – 3.2: National Match Course – 30 rounds total.

.45 Caliber as described in NRA Pistol Rule – 3.3: National Match Course – 30 rounds total.

.22 Caliber as described in NRA Pistol Rule – 3.4: National Match Course – 30 rounds total.

All team members will compete simultaneously on one relay. The total team aggregate is a

possible total of 900 points. This event is NOT part of the National Championship Aggregate.

Out of competition teams are teams that do not comply with eligibility, residence or otherwise

ineligible that elects to do so, may enter and participate in any team event as Out-of-Competition

Teams. Their scores will be recorded in the competition results in an Out-of-Competition

category. If range capacity is reached in any team event, priority in accepting entries shall be

given to eligible teams. Out-of-Competition Teams are not eligible to win any awards. Scores

fired by individual members of Out-of-Competition Teams shall not be eligible for special

awards that recognize individual member’s scores in team events. Out-of-Competition Teams

will pay the same entry fee as all other teams.

In order for awards to be given, there must be at least (5) five teams competing for awards to be

given. Additional place awards may be given for every additional 5 or more teams. If entry

warrants, awards schedule may be expanded.

I’ll care when these thugs tell the world they are sorry for hacking off Nick Berg’s head, while Berg screamed through his gurgling slashed throat.

The pilots and crew of Air Force One are flying more hours than a rookie on a beer run.

They are tired of it too, and are adding more crew to Air Force-1, – I know this for a fact because I’m one of the instructors that trains the crews.

Our company (Atlas Air) has had the Air Force-1 and E-4 contract for over two years and I’ve been doing it for about 8 months now.

Last year (2010) Obama flew in Air Force One 172 times, almost every other day.

White House officials have been telling reporters in recent days that the Democrat doesn’t intend to hang around the White House quite so much in 2011.

They explain he wants to get out more around the country because, as everyone knows, that midterm election shellacking on Nov. 2 had nothing to do with his health care bill, over-spending or other policies, and everything to do with Obama’s not adequately explaining himself to his countrymen and women.

And with only less than 11 months remaining in Obama’s never ending presidential campaign, the incumbent’s travel pace will not likely slacken..

At an Air Force-estimated cost of $181,757 per flight HOUR (not to mention the additional travel costs of Marine One, Secret Service, logistics and local police overtime), that’s a lot of frequent flier dollars going into Obama’s carbon footprint.

We are privy to some of these numbers thanks to CBS’ Mark Knoller, a bearded national treasure trove of presidential stats.

According to Knoller’s copious notes, during the last year, Obama made 65 domestic trips over 104 days, and six trips to eight countries over 22 days. Not counting six vacation trips over 32 days.

He took 196 helicopter trips, signed 203 pieces of legislation and squeezed in 29 rounds of left-handed golf.

Obama last year gave 491 speeches, remarks or statements.

That’s more talking than goes on in some entire families, at least from fatherly mouths.

In fact, even including the 24 days of 2010 that we never saw Obama in public, his speaking works out to about one official utterance every 11 waking hours.

His aides indicate the “Real Good Talker” believes we need more.

In a scathing statement, the head of the ACLU, and  other leading civil liberties and human rights groups who were among President  Obama’s most ardent campaign supporters said the President’s decision to sign a  sprawling defense bill including controversial detainee provisions would tarnish  his legacy.

While voicing reservations, Obama reportedly signed  the act because it guarantees continued military funding. He promised the  provisions would comply “with the Constitution, the laws of war, and all other  applicable law.”

But human rights groups on the left say future  presidents may apply the law differently, adding the act is a sweeping expansion  of executive power — beyond what was seen under the Bush  administration. The ACLU and others slammed the president for putting his  name to this year’s National Defense Authorization Act, or NDAA, out of concern  that it would continue to allow indefinite detention while mandating military  custody for some detainees.

The Center for Constitutional Rights, or CCR, said  the NDAA kills any prospect for relocating detainees and shuttering the Guantanamo  camps because it requires the defense secretary to certify that the transferred  men will not commit hostile acts in the future.

In a statement, CCR said “the same presidential  signature that ordered the closing of Guantánamo almost three years ago, has now  ensured their release or transfer is practically impossible. ”

On the detention of American citizens, critics  say section 1021 of the act is overly broad because it does not rule out  indefinite detention and “…includes the authority for the Armed Forces of the United  States to detain covered persons.”

Section 1022, which makes military custody mandatory  for a subset of detainees, does make an exception for U.S. citizens and legal  permanent residents.

On New Year’s eve, in a 1,800-word signing  statement, the president seemed to emphasize the point, claiming: “my  administration will not authorize the indefinite military detention without  trial of American citizens.”
